Daedalus is preparing a complete line of disaster preparedness and response supplies that can be donated or purchased as complete kits or individual components. The kits will be oriented toward:

Shelters
First Aid and Public Health
Community Facilities
Water
Nutrition
Apparel

Shelter kits will provide rapid-reaction, temporary shelter from the elements for family-size, or larger units. The shelters will reflect cost-effective, state-of-the-art technology that is durable and enduring.

Victims of disasters often need clothing as do those rendering relief. The apparel will be available for use in connection with disaster preparedness or in the outfitting of teams and individuals who respond to disasters.

Indivduals and organizations will be able to purchase, for personal use of donation, large quantities or individual items from Daedalus' apparel line.

The Daedalus Foundation will introduce a line of disaster preparedness and response supplies to the general public.

The new product line will include uniquely tailored products designed to address specific humanitarian needs and will be consistent with the United Nations Cluster Approach. Daedalus will assemble ccard supplies—in tailored kits and in bulk—that are geographically, culturally, nutritionally, and environmentally-sensitive and appropriate to to the needs. The overarching objective is to get the right goods and services to the right place as rapidly as possible. All items included in the product line will be available for purchase—either individually or in assembled kits—for personal use or for donation. The line will include:

Daedalus intends to complement the work of others in the international humnitarian community by providing water to disaster-struck communities.

Since Daedalus focus is upon humanitarian assistance of all kinds, and not simply disaster response, Daedalus will eventually field community-sized water systems to meet the requirments of communities that live in water poverty and suffer the lasting effects of water-borne diseases

NUTRITION

Nutrition kits will provide for the basic nutritional necessities of communties affected by disaster and will concentrate upon meeting the needs of the most vulnerable and those with special needs iin a culturally-sensitive and nutritionally-sound manner.

FIRST AID AND PUBLIC HEALTH

First Aid and Public Health kits will provide appropriate supplies for those rendering aid and providing for the restoration and maintenance of public health in the face of disaster.
